Batà Afrocubanìa Records is the record label
founded by Giovanni Imparato.
Percussionist, singer, composer and Master
of Tumbadora (SEASONSPERCUSSION).
He believes in the becoming syncretic of the identity
essence with the Afro-Cuban heritage as culture
and religion; Giovanni is Babalawo ("Baba Eyógbe"
initiated at the Regla of IFÁ), Babalocha ("Omo-Shangò"
initiated at the Regla de Òcha), and Omoalaña
(priest of the drums "Batà") sworn to the Regla de AYÁN (Añá) Cosmic Pulsation.
Giovanni Imparato has been active in the music industry since the 1980s, collaborating with numerous artists: Ray Charles, Isaac Delgado, John Zorn, Lazaro Ros, Goyo Hernandez, Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba, Los Muñequitos de Matanzas, Rumberos de Cuba, Abbilona (master of batá ), L.Dalla, E.Ramazzotti, A.Bocelli, E.Bennato, Nccp, Stewart Copeland, Nino D'angelo, Paco de Lucia, R.Cocciante, Mina, Yorubandabo, R.Carosone, Partenopea Jazz Orchestra, R. This record label wants to promote to listeners all over the world all those musical projects where percussion and rhythm are central and fundamental.
